et3Due to work, and Evan’s service in the Air Force, Evan and Teryn have lived in multiple cities throughout their relationship. Since travel was so prominent in their lives, and since their family members and closest friends lived all over the world, they thought it only fitting to have a destination wedding, with wonderful accents and design based on travel.

et6They both decided on the magnification venue, Scripps Seaside Forum, in La Jolla. The Forum has spectacular views of he ocean and is such a magnificent blank canvas for a wedding.

etWhen designing the florals and details of the wedding, we drew from The Forum’s use of natural materials, such as the wood lining the inside of the dining area, to the native plants that surrounded the venue. We went with elegant farm style wood tables that were custom made for Evan & Teryn by Concepts, and dressed them with succulents, and vintage stationary menus.

et7Tapping into the destination wedding, the table names were airport codes; the groom’s cake was designed with a world map and an old-fashioned airplane. The escort cards were on luggage tags, and the guest book was a vintage typewriter. The dessert table used old-fashioned suite cases as pedestals for the tasty treats, but this was only to be out done by the hanging hot air balloons that hovered above them.
