Our very first Westgate Hotel wedding!!! It was a beautiful spring day for the lovely Stephanie and Lafe. These two are the greatest. They wanted to adhere to the look of the Westgate Hotel–complete with crystals, feathers, and a light pink wedding dress.
Both Stephanie and Lafe are extremely creative people. I particularly love that many of their best creative details are small touches that you really had to pay attention to.
Both Stephanie and Lafe were very hands on during the planning process. I was so thrilled to be brought on to design their flowers. Her bouquet was a mixture of freesia, anenomes, rannuculas, dahlias, garden roses, feathers, stephanotis and dusty miller.
I really loved the ballroom. The ceremony was set atop a custom seamless dance floor with chairs in two semi-circles. Guests enjoyed cocktails in the foyer while we flipped the room. This was no small feat as we brought in a stage and a full band for the reception.
I just adore these moments, captured by the incredible Robert Benson.
A wonderful aspect of a Westgate wedding is that you don’t ever have to leave! While the couple did take some photos outside, the grand staircases, paneling and gorgeous chandelliers provided a great backdrop for photos. The couple utilized one of the sitting rooms for family portraits.
Have you noticed how all of the images appear to be daytime? Well guess what? These were all shot at night time. Robert brought in lighting so the images appeared to have natural light.
How cute are these two together? They really are a perfectly matched pair.
I love sparkler send offs! I will never ever tire of them, just as I will never tire looking at photos of this lovely couple! Stephanie and Lafe, thank you so much for everything! I am so thankful that you’ve introduced me to so many incredible couples. Thank you for your trust–I so enjoyed working with you. It truly was a fairytale Ball.
