Carol and Chris got married last November at the stunning Hidden Valley Retreat and Spa in Escondido. They wanted their wedding to be fun, quirky and casual to reflect their personalities so they decided on the theme of “Camp Wedding” which guided the design process. Hidden Valley provided the absolute perfect backdrop as it is a secluded retreat location and event venue surrounded by nature. Although it was November, it turned out to be a warm and sunny day perfect for an outside wedding, and the amazing Atrero Photography captured all of the gorgeous details.

The ceremony, performed by the couple’s close friend, was intimate and surrounded by lush trees. The groom’s adorable nephews held a custom sign saying “Uncle Chris, here comes your girl” just before the bride made her way down the aisle with her sister. The gorgeous florals for day were created by our very own Melissa and were inspired by wildflowers found in nature, keeping with the “Camp Wedding” theme. Letterpress escort cards were placed on a vintage desk on a bed of baby’s breath and custom signs directed guests throughout the property. The reception tables were kept simple with fresh white linens and lanterns accented with succulents, custom letterpress coasters, and mismatched vintage china in order to keep the spotlight on the gorgeous surroundings.

Carol and Chris threw such a fun party complete with a photo booth, Lego cupcake toppers, mini pies, and parasols that made their way onto the dance floor. You can tell how excited all the guests were in the dancing photos!

The phrase woven into the wedding “you are what you love” was a perfect reflection of the fun and loving couple and their guests. Thank you Carol and Chris for allowing us to be a part of your special day!
