Last November, we were invited to design and exhibit at the Exquisite Weddings Fall Launch Party at Hotel Palomar in downtown San Diego. Exquisite Weddings Magazine is published by San Diego Magazine, and is always at the forefront of what is new and innovative in the wedding industry.
You may have noticed that when we’ve exhibited or designed a tabletop, we stay away from a traditional guest table. In year’s past, we’ve designed a Bridal Brunch on the beach, a boudoir space and even a bachelorette party space. We kept this in mind as we designed a winter bridal shower table top for the event.
Winter is an excellent time for a bridal shower. It is a less popular time for weddings, so a winter shower may be a great option for a spring or summer wedding. Additionally, if the shower is held during the holiday season, many friends and family members are already in town.
We teamed up with the team over at Sweet Paper, who generously designed these beautiful paper products. We wanted the stationary suite to be holiday neutral (without any references to Christmas, Hannukah or other holidays). We used glassware, china and flatware from Anthropologie.
To create an intimate and dramatic effect, we borrowed a beautiful canopy from Concepts Event Design. We also used their linens, chairs and uplights to modernize the table. As a parting gift, we placed ingredients in cut glass mason jars as a favor for the table.
We so enjoyed being among colleagues, meeting new friends and clients, too! Thanks to all of the great professionals that contributed to our tablescape, and to the team at Exquisite for allowing us to exhibit. Kristina Cazares did a great job capturing images from the event.
