Stephanie and Roland are one of the sweetest couples we’ve met and they both are pilots in the military. They decided to have a nautical themed wedding by the bay to reflect their devotion to and love of the navy. Paradise Point was the perfect backdrop for a seaside wedding with gorgeous palm trees, stunning views and lush tropical greenery. When the bride and groom living on opposite sides of the country serving in the military it makes it especially rewarding for us to see everything come together in the perfect day.
We are also lucky enough to have had this wedding featured in two different blogs! Check them out the features at Vows + Valor and Love + Wander.
The ceremony overlooking Mission Bay was intimate and beautiful. Embellishmint created the perfect florals for the occasion and lined the aisle with a combination of nautical rope and petals. At the altar stood two pillars of sandblasted manzanitas with dripping white orchids to compliment the tropical surroundings. At the end of the ceremony there was a traditional sword arch which included the groom’s brother and bride’s father.
The bride decided on a color theme of coral and navy to play up the nautical elements. You wouldn’t know it was the middle of February with all of the fun and summery details! The reception tables had alternating high and low centerpieces with driftwood, manzanita branches, and plenty of coral accents. The table numbers were held up by fun rope knots to keep in the nautical theme. The cake by Flour Power was a huge highlight of the night. They did an amazing job infusing all the elements of the wedding into one beautiful cake.
We feel so lucky to be a part of this day and wish all the best to Stephanie and Roland!
