Sit back and stay a while…..I have a ton of amazing images to share, shot by the lovely Fawn Christiansen of Sequins and Candy. Nickisa and Kaveh’s beautiful spring Scripps Seaside Forum wedding was featured on Style Me Pretty!
Nickisa and Kaveh started their day at the Estancia La Jolla. As you may know if you’ve read our blog previously, we think the Scripps Seaside Forum is close to perfect. However, many couples opt to get ready elsewhere as the options at Scripps are very simplistic–and without hotel amenities. I love the spanish touches of Estancia! Such as nice contrast against the beach.
I love what Nickisa opted to do with the bridal party. Instead of traditional bridesmaids, she asked her closest friends to get ready with her. She had a group of adorable flower girls accompany her.
How ridiculously amazing is this dress? I love the classic feel of lace!
Another couple of ours that opted for a first look! Nickisa and Kaveh were so sweet and even a little shy with each other!
And now, to one of my favorite parts…the florals! Tam of Isari Floral Studio did an incredible job of achieving Nickisa’s vision of classic and romantic!
The couple hopped into the car, and headed down to the Forum to get married!
I just love the significance of the sofreh in a Persian wedding ceremony! There are numerous items that are included, as well as a large host of optional items. Below is a listing of a handful of my favorites:
The mirror, at the head of the sofreh, brings light and brightness to the marriage.
Eggs, walnuts, almonds and hazelnuts symbolize fertility.
Two large sugar cones are showered on the newlyweds to ensure sweetness and happiness.

I think this one is my favorite! Below are more of the couple down at the Scripps Pier.
Nickisa opted for white flowers throughout the celebration. The entire room glowed by candlelight!
Nickisa and I worked together for quite some time on the layout of the space. Love these long tables!
Both of the newlyweds are doctors, so we found this guest book to be very appropriate!
More goodness!
