In the months leading up to your big day, the I Do…Weddings & Events team will provide clear direction and support to select the right vendors and decor, create mockups of tabletop designs and more, schedule food tastings and walk-throughs, and anything else to help you feel supported and encouraged.

Finalizing
In the weeks leading up to your wedding, we’ll finalize every last detail – even the things you hadn’t thought of yet! You’ll also receive regular updates from our team and a full walk-through of your meticulously crafted wedding day timeline with every last piece accounted for, so you’re always confident that everything is on track.

We know that planning a beautiful event isn’t something that people do everyday. But we do. And we are here to share our experiences, and answer any questions you might have.
A conversation over the phone or video, will help get the ball rolling. We’d love to hear about your love story, how you became engaged, where you are in the wedding planning process, and your expectations of your event planner. We’ll share images, insights to your venue and hear about what is important to you. We always want to see your pictures and inspiration, hear about your guest list and vision, and even meet your fiancee, family or friends.
When you inquire via our website, email, phone, or via social media, you’ll be connected with an I Do…Weddings partner that we feel is a good fit for you. Ideally, we’d love to chat with you, hear about your vision, personality, and style to ensure a great fit. All of the members of the I Do…Weddings & Events family have considerable event planning experience–from weddings to charity events and runway shows to bridal showers…we do it all! We are lucky to have a very diverse team that excels in different areas, and we feel it shows!
As soon as you get engaged is recommended. Dates are booked well in advance and the sooner we begin planning, the better! If you are interested in Partial Planning or Wedding Management, we recommend booking as soon as you have secured your date & venue.
A venue coordinator oversees the on site staff, to make sure they are fulfilling their contractual obligations, serving food on time, etc. A lot of times the venue coordinator is not there for the duration of the event &/or they have other events they are overseeing on property during the same time. A wedding coordinator works only for you to make every aspect run smoothly, greet all your vendors, send out a timeline prior, make sure you are having a great time celebrating and to ensure that your vision has become a reality. We explain that the difference between a venue planner and a wedding planner is back of the house versus front of the house at a restaurant.
Our planners plan 10-30 weddings a year, depending on service level and scope. Historically, each planner plans a max of 3 events per month, putting the focus on the relationship between our team and you.
