Lindsay and Ian’s journey together began 3 ½ years ago when they were set up on a blind date at Harney Sushi. These two connected instantly and the rest is history. Ian decided to step up his position and ask Lindsay to marry him while they were on vacation in Rome, Italy! Talk about romantic!
The overall design and inspiration for their wedding started with the venue. Lindsay and Ian said their “I Do’s” at the charming Spanish estate, Darlington House in La Jolla. The architectural design and vintage furnishings and the location (just steps away from the beach where the Groom goes surfing), was what sold the Bride and Groom. The Darlington House has so much natural beauty which inspired the Bride to go with a simple, romantic, and vintage theme.
Both of the Bride and Groom’s parents are fortunate enough to have two sets of parents who are still married. The Bride and Groom displayed wedding photos from each of their parents’ weddings for guests to view and enjoy.
The ceremony took place on a brick patio with a beautiful Spanish fountain. Surrounded by beautiful trees and rose bushes, it couldn’t have been more of a perfect setting!
As guests migrated to cocktail hour, they had both an indoor and outdoor place for mingling. The bar was located in the library which extended to an outdoor patio. The cocktail tables were decorated with lush florals in small vintage vases.
Following the cocktail hour, family and friends were invited to please be seated under the open sky. The tables were decorated with lanterns surrounded with luscious wreath blooms and mercury candles. Organic Elements you rock!
The cake, made perfectly with love from Sweet Cheeks Baking Co. was so scrumptious and so lovely to look at.
The Bride and Groom hired the talented True Photography and Rafael Pires Cinematography to capture this magical and unforgettable day!
The evening continued with a non-stop dance party with family and friends!
After much planning, I was honored to be her matron of honor as well as her wedding coordinator and bring her vision to life.
